I have neither read nor heard of the books that Silo is based on. The story is good and interesting. The series takes place 140 years after the apocalypse. 10,000 people who are now left alive in the silo, and these people have never been outside the silo. They don’t even know what stars are. They do know, however, that going outside the silo is disastrous. Some people decide to go outside to learn more, but they always die. Those who stay in the silo can watch through the window every time someone wants to leave, and see how and when they die. Rebecca Ferguson plays the role of Juliet Nichols, who is trying to figure out what’s outside the silo and why they can’t get out without dying. The acting is good, as is the character development. However, the pace could be a little slower, as there are some extra episodes. They could definitely shorten the series by at least two episodes, but I don’t mind because the series is overall very good. I’m looking forward to a second season with more suspense, mystery, and answers about what’s going on outside the silos!
